What Mauritius is actually like
Mauritius resorts sell the lagoon, and it's genuinely that calm. What's worth adding is a day inland — Chamarel's coloured earth, a rum distillery tour, or the Black River Gorges — so the trip isn't spent entirely poolside, however good that pool is.
